Students who have been allocated a place in JU dormitory are required to pay a reservation fee. In the near future, you will get en email from the administration of the respective student dormitory where you have been allocated a place. If, despite receiving a place, you haven't received information about the payment account, contact directly with the dormitory administration.

There is no reservation fee.

You can use the ‘Exchange Market’ for place swaps in the USOSweb system. In the Exchange Market, place exchanges happen automatically, based on the order of applications and the available places. An exchange occurs only if another person wants to swap in the opposite direction to what you've applied for. To express your interest in a place swap, you need to register your application by selecting the Exchange Market in USOSweb under the Common section and then Applications tab.

You can also move into the dormitory where you've been allocated a place and later exchange it during the academic year when rooms become available in a more desired student dormitory. These rules also apply to changing from shared to single rooms.

If you are planning to participate in the ‘Exchange Market’, refrain from paying the reservation fee until the process is completed.

If, due to a place swap, your reservation fee was paid to the wrong student dormitory, please contact the dormitory administration for the reassignment or refund of the fee.

Contact information for specific student dormitories can be found in the USOSweb Directory.

If you no longer need the allocated place, resign from it promptly so that someone else can benefit.
If you resign from the place by September 13, 2023, using the Resign option in USOSweb, the reservation fee might be refunded.
The refund form is available on the following website: Dormitories - Fees.
